Lake Eden-horribly gripping tale of a slightly feckless middle class couple and their encounter with the Chavs from Hell while on a romantic weekend !! 8/10

Gran Torino-Clint Eastwood as a grumpy old bigot who finds a kind of redemption in helping a local Hmong community from gang trouble-you will even forgive his attempt to sing the theme tune at the end !! 9/10

Haven't seen Lake Eden but saw Gran Torino and stayed until the end of the credits it was so moving. Recommended it to friends and when they saw it they didn't leave until the end of the credits either. Good movie.
