Aloe Vera

Hello, I have a 9 year old son with mild to moderate asthma. I've just heard that taking daily aloe vera as a drink can help, so was wondering has anyone tried this and did it have any effect?

When I had bad skin reaction to something, I tried aloe vera both as a gel and as a drink. As a gel for cooling the skin, its wonderful. As a drink ,no matter whether peach or natural flavour, it was pretty ghastly.

This was around 6 years ago and may have improved in taste. I didn't have asthma diagnosed then, so can't say whether the drink helps with asthma.
