Thought after smoking years the damage was done so keep on but not true should have heard that (was not listening before shock news)

I know grumble.

even being an asthma sufferer for many years I never gave up smoking and still struggling now

I suppose we think the worst will never happen to us but now I know the progression of the illness can at least be halted I am trying my damndest to give up.

There is great support for the struggle with smoking catlady05 my head knew I must stop it was not in my heart I still enjoyed wine and a cigarette.

My heart was taken over when a young doctor asked will you see grandchildren, I knew then my purpose that I cling onto when tempted.

Using the lozenges at the moment so cutting down gradually.

I know I should go 'cold turkey' but have a few issues in my life at the mo and find myself reaching for my prop lol

Well done for kicking the habit.
