Should I be chasing them

On the 15th Feb I saw my respiratory nurse for an assessment as my breathing was getting worse, she said she would arrange a walk test, a lung function test and a CT scan. I had the walk test on the 7th March which I did not do too well, but have heard nothing else. Should I be chasing her on this or should I wait a while longer?

Chase polly this is your health, certainly your quality of life you're talking about.

See if you can get a referral to a community matron. I'm aware I'm always going on about them but that's because mine is so so good.

Good luck,

Chris

Hi Polly,

I think that you should call them and say that you haven't heard anything for a while. Maybe you have slipped through the net. It really doesn't hurt to remind people that you are waiting to hear from them.

Good luck Polly

Definitely make contact.

I was in same boat. An urgent pulmonary referal letter was sent 19th December. Rang hospital, they said they'd had no referal. Back to GP who was well annoyed with them. He wrote again in mid Jan & appt came through for 2 weeks later. No apologies naturally.

There was also the referal for bone density test back in July from when I broke both feet.

I need to chase this up but lungs have taken over on the priority list. This is St Georges Tooting. Grrrrrrr

Ring em and good luck.

yes, chase it up. sometimes it's admin error that causes delays ... as in my case, then a respiratory nurse took up my case and sped me to the consultant so I can get onto her Pulmonary rehab course. since then it has closed but at least I am on the waiting list and being seen by a chest consultant. !
