Hi alvin
I haven't been able to find anything specific around the use of heaters and COPD - general safety stuff - keeping it away from furnishings etc and i think they are not recommended for bedrooms because of the bed covers.
If you are using a heater in one room the temperature could potentially become very warm, our advice is 21c in your living areas and 18c in your bedroom. If it becomes too dry it may also be worth popping a small bowl of water to get a little moisture back into the air.
Ensure it has been serviced and with any heating try to have some ventilation.
As always give us a call - 03000 030 555.
Cheers
Jo
From experience, yes! Calor gas is liquid so it heats of course but also increases humidity. I find it hard to breathe using it. Used to heat entirely with it when i lived on boats many lives ago. The smell is horrid too.
thanks you for your advice , i think i will get rid off it just to be safe
Can only say my husband can't cope with them anymore - he always used one in his workshop but it just floors him now. Take care TAD xx
well i got rid of calor gas nearly 2weeks ago , and i feel a lot better with out it , so i would agree with you who answered me DONT USE A CALOR GAS FIRE and thanks you all for advice
