Have not been offered anything else after explaining that it does nothing for me unless I put 6 shots in spacer and sip the vapour slow as I can. (Sally shakes)

I have a bad reaction to Salbutamol based products and was put on Atrovent and have been using it for several years without problems.

I a either allergic to salbutimol - or as my nurse thinks the nurse in hospital didn't mix the salbutimol with oxygen. Either way, I don't want to use it so I have bricanyl instead.... as inhaler or as nebuliser. Hope that helps. Apparently it is unusual to have a bad reaction to salbutinol... and I know some people are better with bricanyl anyway.

Terbutaline (Bricanyl, Brethine, Brethaire) is no longer available in the US another is Salmeterol (Serevent) a longer acting preventer.
