I have had pul/Fibrosis for 6 years and have just been diagnosed with RA.

My problem is any medication for RA is being rejected by my consultant as it would do me more serious lung problems, has anyone any advice for me at this stage so i can start to ask questions myself, Between the two illnesses i am so much in the dark.

Hi mattcass, Iv'e had P/Fibrosis for 2 1/2 years now and its root cause was RA. I was perfectly healthy then within 2 to 3 weeks I was in intensive care for 2 1/2 months. Iv'e got RA in the lungs which seems to have caused the fibrosis and I'm being treated for both conditions by two seperate consultants who have joint meetings with me every 4 months..

dont be afraid to ask your consultant,,about your medication.......he will only to happy to answer your enquires iam sure,,,,,,good luck

I have lupus and my rheumy and pulmary consultant often disagree about my meds so I know what it's like. I have to make the choice on what med I take myself I do always consult with my gp who is very supportive. At present I take sprivia, seretide, and ventolin when need. For the lupus I take plaquenil,imuran, vimovo and neurontin. I'm doing ok not always good but not always bad.

Thank You for this when i mention some of the drugs that you supplied it will look like i know what is going on, and in between the RA/Lung consult need to to start talking to me,RA flare up getting grumpy,mattcass
