Sounds like mucus plugs and it will cause your breathing to be bad. Carboceistein capsules will help to thin the mucus and make it easier to cough up and nebulised saline solution should help thin the mucus further. Good luck.

I used to get a lot of this when I first quit smoking. As rattles says it is mucus plugs. Better up than down. Don't worry about it as it seems to be quite normal for us guys.

Try to drink lots of water that will help thin the mucus and make it easier to ''huff'' it up!!

Hi Daz, Rattles has offered some good advice . Some people have said that taking some dairy products tends to thicken mucous. You need to look out for any early changes in colour - which may suggest an infection. Use carbocisteine with caution if there is a history of peptic ulceration. If there is no benifit after a 4 week trial it should be stopped.

Hi Thanks For Answers ...... Sounds Like Good Advice Will Drink More And Raise Subject With My Specialist

sounds like you have an infection in your lungs you didnt say what colour it was .....but the lighter the colour the newer the infection the darker the colour you would need treatment (green) is mostly the colour of infection .......but seek medical help ie: your doctor..good luck

I get this Daz usually the jelly lumps are pale yellow. I don't know what they are or why they are there and I still don't know what is wrong with me,

So far it has been suggested I have Asthma, then that I was Alpha, then Bronchiectosis but nothing really fits my symptoms and a recent spectrometry result which exceeds my predicted percentages .

I am hoping when I have waited 3 months for the results of my CT scan I might know something more.

Now I am worried I have got what you have got....:-)

I am sick of Dr's who don't listen and try to squeeze people into a mould of their perceived diagnosis and I am sick of behaving like a hypochondriac examining every symptom an I guess you are too....

Not what you're looking for?
