Hi Sam, I can get dizzy when I'm very short of breath, but it doesn't last long and also when my blood pressure has dropped too low, that makes you feel sick and as though you're going to faint. A good idea would be to call the BLF helpline, always some there to answer questions. Libby The number is 030 0003 0555

They are open Monday to Friday, 10 - 6.

I'm another one who gets dizzy and nauseous when my sats are low. Libby's suggestion is a sound one sam.... BLF Helpline tomorrw, or NHS Direct tonight :)

Hope you manage to get something sorted out for your dad, he can't be feeling so good with those symptoms :(

Hi Sam

I get spells of vertigo and I empathise with your dh as it is very distressing, especially when you feel you or the room are spinning, and especially difficult to do pd. Been to the hospital in the past for it. There are a number of reasons for dizzyness and I really feel your dh should really get it checked out.

Love C x

Hello Sam, yes I am a vertigo sufferer and have been for 30yrs now my doctor put me on PROCHLORPERAZINE I take them only when needed but dont take to many as they make you feel very sleepy I usualy take one or two each time I get an attack and they take away the giddy and sick feeling Hope this helps

Hello friend, yes i too suffer from vertigo, went to the doctor about it, this was before i had copd, used the medicine it was a nasal spray for three months, guess what went back to the doctor told her about my shortness of breath, it was then i was told that i had copd....(.and the band played on)

Just for info the nasal spray was Beconase Aqueous. Although nobody has said that there is a link, just beware.

All the best.

Redmod.
