I SHOULD ARRIVE BACK IN ENGLAND BY THE 4TH OF FEB, AM JUST HOPING THAT THE COLD DOES NOT CAUSE TO MUCH ANGST, AS MY WIFE HAS THREATENED TO CHAIN ME TO THE AGA FOR THE NEXT THREE MONTHS, AND TO HAVE MY LIFE LIMITED TO THE KITCHEN IS NOT MY IDEA OF FUN OR FOREPLAY MAKE OF THAT ONE AS YOU WILL. HEHEHEHEHEHEHEH,

REGARDS TO ALL,

ROBIN

Hi Robin, you must be doing great to be flying so far, although why you would want to swap summer for winter is a mystery to me! You've obviously got over your infection, so keep well (and warm, once you get here!) Libby

Hi Robin, glad to hear you are feeling up to the long journey. Pack some winter woollies! Auntymary xx

what i have to be aware of is that its the first three months that are the danger point, the good lung or she who is now valved is working well, its the one that is still to be fixed that is my weak point. though i feel that every day is a great big step forward, i shall be wearing a mask,on the flight and oxygen is on hand if needed, Bertie will be wiping the seats and the tray and arm rests with anti bacterial wipes to help eliminate bugs and stuff, I will avoid any alcohol and will keep very hydrated, Vasalene around the nasal passages to form a barrier against germs, most of this information came from reading advise on this site for which i am so very grateful, SO MY DEARS WISH US WELL AND I WILL KEEP YOU ALL UP TO SPEED.

STAY WELL AND HAPPY.

AND BREATH

My respitorory nurses told me not to use vaseline on my nasal passages as it contains oils that are inflammable. I know this sounds unbelievable but a fireman who visited me on a safety at home visit was telling me about someone who was eating a sandwich when using oxygen and some melted butter ran down his chin and ignited, you might want to enquire into it and check with your respitorory nurses if have them out there. Bon voyage, keep well.
