advised to contact copd nurse but has this function has been handed over to private firm from 01/10/2012 i have no idea who they are
I don't like to see questions go unanswered here, but I don't know what I can do to help. Your GP surgery is where you need to start, they must know who to contact. I'm puzzled as to why it's a private firm really.
Pitside, whoever advised you to contact the nurse should know how this can be done? Your GP surgery will make referrals to the nurse so will know where to send them.
Hi Pitside
We are not sure about this - maybe to do with NHS commissioning bodies coming together. The changes shouldn't make any changes to the actual treatment you receive. As Gordon suggests going back to your GP would be a good place to start.
Please let us know how you get on.
Best Wishes
Jo
