Yes many years ago I had a total collapse of my left lung. Crept up on me gradually. I should have known as I was getting more and more breathless. Anyway I had to be admitted to hospital to have a drain inserted, took me 3 weeks to get home again but that was my own fault for not seeing about it earlier.. Hope your ok now!

Yes I have about 12 years ago, lung collapsed right side, was in hospital 3 weeks had quite a major operation to remove an abccess, and then it had to be drained. Left scarring on my lung, like Mocarey I knew something was wrong but I ignored it.

I had a Pneumothorax in my late 20s but luckily it was caught quite early and it sure was painful. I was in hospital for 2 days but the doctors left it to drain naturally. Hope you get well soon.

Hi

What happened next...? Is it definitely a pneumothorax? Have you had it checked out?

Mark

I have had numerous spontaneous pneumothorax, since my early teens. Although they do not happen as often now I know they are very painful and usually need hospital admission and bed rest. Hope you recover soon.
