If you are overdosing in salbutamol / ventolin / reliever med this can cause shaking.

Shaking not normally a symptom of COPD, best to get checked with your doc to be sure this symptom is not in relation to something else.

Feeling shaky is one of the recorded common side affects of Seretide Accuhaler, so could I guess occur with other inhalers containing similar drugs i.e salmeterol/fluticasonepropionate, so is worth reporting the symptom to your GP

I used to shake badly after using my 'blue turbo inhaler' (sorry i can't remember the name). But when i had a consultation with my pharmacist he told me that i should have only been taking 1 puff when needed and not 2 as prescribed by my doctor. Apparentley 2 puffs was the usual dose with the old type inhaler but not with the one i was prescribed. I told my doc this and she changed my inhaler to the blue one with the pulldown cap (sorry again i cant bring the name to mind) and its a lot better. Now i can carry a full cup of tea and manage to sit down with it still full, normally i would've shaken so badly i could only manage to get to the sofa with half a cup hehe, ya gorra laugh or you'll cry and i like laughing. So, check with your pharmacist when getting meds, he/she will keep you updated about any changes in meds and good luck ...

If you are taking aminophyline (a steroid) you can get the shakes quite badly (a recorded side effect). I find the severity of the shakes seem to fluctuate and now they don't seem as bad as when I first started the tablets, or maybe I'm just getting used to them. As they have increased the dose today - I am hoping the shakes will not increase as well. Sometimes it looks as if I have St. Vitus Dance. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the shakes helped me to loose some of the weight that prednisolone has put on?? Wishful thinking I think :-)

I had the shakes so the doc changed one of my inhalers and it stopped thank goodness, I was so bad I could hardly write anything. :)

Aug 18 was the day, in hospital from e.r. (exacerbation] By evening I could see my hands shaking, then my speech and thought were shaky too. Do i need a DNR? They said that the medicine was steroid and was making me shaky. In the week I'm home , no shakes.
