Personally I would always recommend PR for those who have not already completed a course. Pulmonary rehabiltation is probably the best place to start for safety and individual personal guidance, you get more than just exercise on a PR course and you are guided by professionals in their field of expertise. A GP or consultant can refer lung patients. PR is especially helpful for those who have de-conditioned because of their illness and those newly diagnosed with a lung condition.

I would fully agree with Zoee. It is really important that expert guidence is given as in PR & tailored to each individually. The added advantage of attending a PR course is the educational component that helps with understanding & managing your condition.

Best wishes

Jo:-)

Glad you agree cgo11, (the PR course as mentioned is a real help to many lung patients) :)
