Whoo hoo go with the flow and at your own pace, meet the others in your group sure it will be fine Val x

Absolutely no need to be scared Fantasy, you will enjoy it. If you've not yet had the pre assessment done that will be the first thing. It varies slightly from place to place but you could search your area to see what comes up.

On my pre assessment all course members were asked to fill in forms to help you and the NHS staff assessing you how you are managing now physically and emotionally. Then there was a spirometry test using the small portable machine, then there is the shuttle test where you walk up and down, you will be guided through that and your 02 sats will be monitored during. Afterward, tea a biscuits giving you a chance to get to know others and a general overview of the course given by the NHS staff.

I may have forgotten a few things and this pre assessment may be a variation on what you experience on Friday.

Here is a link to NHS Norfolk for details on their PR course:

Enjoy your time on Friday, enjoy your course.

....... and, if you're like me, you will just love the exercises :) they were so much fun and had the whole group in stitches ! You'll learn about diet, medications, relaxation, breathing techniques. It's all very interesting and informative and absolutely nothing to be afraid of :)

Trust me, I'm a COPD sufferer too ;) lol
