Not only do my LA not offer this, there was no onward referral to a gym after PR, neither free nor subsidised - nor even full-price!
Its great Birmingham CC are doing this, I noticed other local govs also have this in operation and New Zealand, well done NZ ;). It would be good if this eventually will become nationwide.
When I rang my GP to talk about joining a gym, he asked me ho wmuch it was costing me because he said that he could prescribe me it on the NHS for a while. I joined via my company so the cost was very low and it opened up a number of other benefits. An excellent idea though.

I would love to join Bactive. I feel a bit self conscious, hence would need to check the joint out first. Only just getting suitable inhalers sorted out. None, seem to work now. I'm so breathless lately, I'm watching the clock for my next dose. Been refused theophilline, despite hospital authorisation, put on Turbohaler 400. No one seems to take me seriously.3 yrs with COPD and suffering hourly on daily basis.
