i`ve had emphysema for at least 20+ years !!!

hello , i`m 57 years young ! i was diagnosed about 25 years ago after suffering breathlessness since my 20`s .i`ve had lvrs , endless hours of re-hab and i`m beginning to think i know as much as the docs , nurses , physios and respiritory people !! anyone out there in a similar position ??

Hi Carol, I can remember being taken by my grandmother to Weston Super Mare for the air to help my persistant cough. I was treated for asthma during my 30/40's and diagnosed with COPD and some Bronchietasis 20+ years ago. I try to keep active, I go to rehab regularly and am on the committee of our local Breathe Easy group where we have lots of speakers many relating to COPD and there is always something new to learn and lots of friends to be made who are in the same boat.
