Has anyone arranged oxygen for use whilst in the airport - both UK and abroad?

I remember arranging oxygen for a client many years ago when I worked as a travel agent. It was done through the tour operator for using abroad. At the airport in the UK though it should be arranged through the airport itself. From what i can remember. Hope that helps.
most airlines do oxygen in flight but try not to do, it is hard work to get it with some of them, they usualy do it free of charge but then they will try and charge you for it, and if you are holidaying in europe you will if you contact the british embasy in the country you are visiting be supplied it just the same as you are here, but it all has to be done in advance,
I have always used my own poc Mark but in case of delays, "plugged" myself into the mains to keep my battery yopped up if there was a delay. Unless you are on ltot 24/7 one could use the wheelchair assist to get around the airport and thus save your oxygen/breath unneccessarily? I do do that!
I believe 02 can be ordered for use in airports but have never done so for myself but might be worth calling some of the airports or BAA to see what the process is?
Be interesting to hear the outcome of this one

A friend of mine, on o2, is going to the states in October. Virgin Atlantic is going to supply him with oxygen on the aircraft. Free of charge. How good is that. He is taking his concentrator for when in the USA. And Virgin have agreed to also take his small scooter in the hold. How good is that
