Thank you for updating us. I once had a cough for 5 years. It was hard work and damaged my vocal cords! Through hospital investigations, I found out I had asthma and bronchiectstasis. I’m now on 4 different inhalers, montelukast, and an antibiotic, Azithromycin, as a prophylactic. It was only after the addition of the antibiotic that I actually stopped coughing!

I have been informed by my Respiratory Consultant not to take any medication ending in FEN.. like Nurofen, Ibuprofen etc. If you have COPD. I have been prescribed Paracetamol. XXSHEILA 👍

Me too Sheila. I had sinusitis a few weeks ago and told my gp I had taken ibuprofen to help with the pain and he said absolutely not to take ibuprofen. It depresses the respiratory system.

Be careful what you take. I once had anafalactic shock with Ibrufen luckily I was in hospital when it happened. Red warning on my file now.

Take care

Wendy xx
