Can anyone advise on a good pair please. Soft, not tight on calves. Machine washable and no bits that come off. Thank you.

l don’t wear bed socks personally but if I did I’d try Sainsbury’s, Tesco etc. but can’t comment on bits coming off. A good store like Beales might have them. Good luck xxxx

Christmas present from M and S last year ….but furry , nice and soft . Be careful walking around in them , as I have laminate floors and slip.

I was also given slipper socks , anti slip soles

M and S thermal socks I bought last year ….shed bits everywhere .

You can buy soft top socks , wonder if Google could help .

I saw on tv last year that wearing socks to bed can help you sleep better

Even though my ankles are skinny I've found all socks too tight at the top for many years so they've all got snips in the top, very scruffy. Until last year when I discovered loose topped socks in the men's department in M&S, perfect and they're mostly cotton 👌. Size 6 is the smallest (I take 4.5), come in a 3 pack oh and theycome half way up the calf. I happily wear them in bed because they don't cut off blood supply to my feet!

Have you tried these gentlegrip.co.uk/?gad_sourc... They do a gentle grip range which are great, and then a whole range of other socks for various foot problems

I love socks in bed! I wear a thick old pair I got from Tesco a couple of years ago or a pair of my dad's hand knitted woollen socks, which is not much help! Sorry. xx

Anything real wool like cashmere or merino. Don't have to wash them.

I bought some slipper socks in Primark . I use those so I don't slip. Lovely and cosy. Don't shed unlike the ones I bought in M &S. Worth a look and very reasonably priced.

Tight around the tops……

The ones I have are not tight. If legs get swollen best to try a specialist company like Cosife

I don`t wear bed socks, but we do have our Persian cats. Beeter than either socks or hot water bottles as they never go cold. They do however leave bits of fluff around. Have a good day, stay warm, Chris.

I wear fleece-lined slipper socks in bed at night, from Amazon. No tight tops, roomy for the toes, lovely and warm, and a good grip during those midnight trips to the bathroom.

I wear a pair I' borrowed' from my husband. His feet are a lot bigger than mine, so they're just cosy. 🤗😍😄

I buy bamboo socks, very breathable and not too tight.

Thank you to everyone for your suggestions. I will take a look. My two cats used to be wonderful for warmth but at present I am not allowed to have any pets. Medical reasons. I miss this very much and hope one day this might change. Take care all. xx
