Acute bronchitis.

Further to my last post on blood oxygen level.I said I had copd, with emphysema, chronic bronchitis and asthma.

There was confusion about I had chronic bronchitis but have never had mucus that is associated with it.

In fact I have acute bronchitis, so that's probably the reason I didn't have mucus.

I only noticed this just now looking for documents on my lung function tests I had done 10 years to take with me on my appointment I have today for a lung function test.

I suppose I should feel good about this, but am to miserable in pain and stress not being able breath to well, I don't want to take any medication before the test.

I also feel that a lot of the breathing problems I have is probably due to Gred as if affected my voice badly.

Anyway now for a long drive and face the worst car park in the world..🤦‍♂️🤞

I think you're right, but I decided not to take anything, I will get medications from here a bit later on.

'Chronic' Bronchitis is part of copd, 'Acute' Bronchitis is an infection (ready to stand corrected if I'm wrong especiallyas they may have different terms in Thailand). I think the Acute Bronchitis has turned into pneumonia. The mucus may not be unable to come up due to inflammation of your airways? Thank goodness you're at the clinic/hospital by now.

Unfortunately I've been like this for some time, I saw a lung specialist at a private hospital near me two weeks ago who said my chest was clear even though I was in pain and difficulty in breathing. 4 days I decided to this government hospital as they are the only ones who have the equipment for a proper full lung function test. I will see what happens after tomorrow, if am not happy I will go to a private hospital in Bangkok that I've used before, just means booking into a hotel for days but I know I will get the best treatment very quickly.

Am really okay for now resting on my bed, not easy walking for now.

I will phone for an ambulance if I worsen.

Sorry you’re so ill. I hope they sort something out for you.

Ah, slightly further away lol. I reckon the JR would give any hospital a run for its money for that title… 😆

I think it was me who questioned the CB diagnosis. As I said CB is normally dealing with significant amounts of mucus every day. At least that’s one less thing to worry about, although breathlessness is not much fun either
