I am Scottish and love haggis ....π
I'm Scottish and I hate it π€’
I'm Welsh and had never tasted Haggis until, with a couple of friends, we decided to celebrate Burns night - just because we could!
So, for the first and only time, I went into Sainsbury's and bought a couple of haggis, all sealed up in plastic packaging with cooking instructions on the back.
I didn't know if we'd like it, or how far it would stretch, so I also bought a joint of pork to cook at the same time.
All went well until I heard a bang in the kitchen.
I opened the oven door and found that the haggis had exploded and they were now all over the oven floor! Thankfully, it was a new cooker and I was using the oven for the very first time. It had been thoroughly cleaned before use, so I scooped up the haggis and put it in a dish.
We ate the haggis alongside the pork slices - it was like having stuffing with it!
We all enjoyed it and washed it all down with a fair drop of wine, leading to my husband and our friend doing a 'sword dance' in charity shop kilts that were far too short and only just met around the middle.
This happened years ago and we've eaten plenty of haggis since, (not cooked by me!) but none has ever been more enjoyable than the one we reclaimed from the oven floor!

You sound very much like myself one accident after the other but get through life laughing π
I think a good laugh does us all good - as long as it's well intended and not cruel.
I had a few issues with my repeat prescription this week. The doctor prescribed Senna tablets instead of Beconase nasal spray. I said to the pharmacy assistant I would try shoving a couple of them up my nostrils and see if they clear my sinuses! I think I can still hear her laughing. π€£π€£π€£ xx Moy
I'm Welsh and I like haggis, although it's many years since I ate any. π
Presumable you don`t eat it anymore as you`ve ad enough.
