I've filling sputum pots several times a day I'm very scared... Has my lung condition got worse

I see on your profile that you have bronchiectasis. Increased amounts of mucus like this indicates that you have an exacerbation caused by a bacteria which is having a party.. you need to go to your GP who should give you an appropriate antibiotic in a high dose for 2 weeks according to the bronch guidelines.

Hi I agree with swizzy about an infection brewing and also regarding the mucus a definite clearance using a mucolyte and acapella type device every day during non infection has kept me clear for a lot longer and infection has been less .hope you get seen by gp and feel better soon

In addition to lung conditions anxiety can cause coughing and excess mucus production. I have an anxiety cough and in what I perceive to be stressful situations I can start coughing and produce large quantities of sputum. If you are very anxious about your condition you could be triggered your sputum buildup. You need to see your doctor/ respiratory nurse to get your condition checked and hopefully put your mind to rest

The mould spore season is upon us. I take a one a day antihistamine from February into October. Trees in February, then shrubs, flowers and grass, then mould spores from August through to October. We used to have Black Mould in our home, due to a leak in the bath drain. Since eradicating that, I've been more or less free of chest infections.

Perhaps yr lungs are still inflamed.ru on carbocysteine? I reduce or stop it for a while when I'm drowning in mucous.its worth putting specimen in too x
