She's having a great time ... She's not skinny at all she's very well fed for her age and size and on the correct amount ... Lots of people overfeed dogs and that's wrong to do so ... She's 17kgs and is fed according to her weight ...she has 3 meals daily with her raw meat and fish and relishes it 🥰

I thought I was being funny. I certainly wasn’t saying she was too skinny. Most animals such as dogs and cats look skinny when soaking wet. Am sorry for any misunderstanding.

I didn't misunderstand at all I was just explaining her meals and requirements that's all ... She's as fit as a butchers dog ...and her slim build is of a good healthy diet for her weight ... I think dogs these days are treated wrong when they are over fed and Sadies or Stan were a great size on 3 meals a day .... When i first got Stan he was overweight by 6 kgs which was heavy for him and affected his mobility ... Within 2 months he had lost 8 kgs and his weight was maintained for the 5 years I had the pleasure of his company...His walks increased due to the weight loss and being under exercised by the previous owner... So again no misunderstanding Sadie is very slim but not skinny for her breed ....x

Is Sadie still in training or do u just continue to reinforce her early training? Mind u, border collies are so intelligent! They thrive on instructions+ pleasing us.my sisters cocker spaniel does too,but also likes to take charge - she will let him out,and he will go to top of the garden+ shout for his " playmate" ie her,and/or me,to play at throwing the ball.He goes to a dog club once a week.they collect/ drop off dogs+ use a big field with a pond/ stream and huge sandpit.thr dogs,frm sausage dogs to border collie and bigger dogs,all love it xxx

Ahhh that sounds a lovely experience for your sisters dog ... All that playtime and training sessions in one how wonderful... places like that around here exist but to be honest they don't get used a lot as we have the forest to walk on ...Sadies training is daily still... We do lots of different things with her .. Just general training sit paw etc then she does a lot of tricks on instructions..

I have rabbit dummies and I use the method of gun dog trainers but only for her fulfilment... I can hide them and she will retrieve for me she's a very clever girl ..😍
