Hi Tiggertheterrier

This is not medical advice, but I know a bit about right middle lobe bronchial washing. It is a procedure in which cells are taken from the inside of the airways that lead to the lungs. Your conclusion on your letter says no malignant cells which means No cancer cells were seen. Hope that helps.

thanks Issy22. I was relieved to read that bit!! Was just wondering if thr % of Neutrophils was normal. Google can be helpful, but also very misleading, so I try to avoid it if I can. X

Sorry I don’t know percentages for the lungs Tiggertheterrier. Could you maybe ask the Gp or respiratory nurse on the asthma and lung helpline to interpret the percentages for you. Google can give so much false information. It’s good news no cancer cells though . Take care.

I would do as issy suggests. We are not medically trained; the helpline nurses should be able to help you. Hope it's good news.

thanks Alberta56. It was just a post on the off-chance that somebody else had received similar results but had had them explained & could let me know what the technical names mean. I will try the helpline later. Had my pneumonia jab yesterday and feeling rough this morning ( temperature and headache).

The cells listed are from various parts of the bronchus and lung ... Neutrophils are white blood cells. They are there to watch and deal with any infection which you might have had ..

There is NO. sign of cancer in the tissues washed out .

Jo. 😊
