does anyone have an air purifier? if so do they work and which ones do you think are the best. I have copd and am looking to breath a bit better indoors. I am struggling and I think its due to tree pollen, there are loads of trees to the back of my property. hope someone can help, thanks in advance.

I have two , one an old Dyson fan and one a Phillips .

If you type air purifiers in the search box top right hand corner then tap on this site you will see previous answers .

Mine are hepa filters , not ionisers . Got cheap Dyson replacement filter seems to work well , Dyson so pricey , but linked to iPad so can check air quality .

Phillips was cheaper on sale

I have a Phillips (large one) in the lounge/diner plus small one in the bedroom. We have 2 large dogs so needed an efficient one downstairs. Makes a difference to the air quality for my breathing. Suggestion was made it might be the dogs, it isn’t as I think it’s outside pollens etc as it happens roughly the same time each year. Personally, would not want to be without my air purifiers.

I have two, one a Phillips in the sitting room and the other in my bedroom is a puremate. I live in a wood with a dusty track right outside the front door. The Phillips one tells me the air quality all the time and when it’s time to change the filters of which there are 3. I know it’s accurate because it matches the air quality in my area on the weather app. They definitely help.

Hi, I have a 2 Levoit purifiers. You can get them in different sizes and get replacement filters easily on Amazon. I find they definitely make a difference. I have a dog and a long haired cat so I need them.

I have a Dyson cool air which I don’t find helps with the dust we frequently get in Cyprus. It’s been on all night and the air quality is still only fair. Wish I’d saved my money.

I have a Dyson cool air in my bedroom , Phillips downstairs .

I find the Dyson OK , if I don’t use it the poor air quality mark can rise right up , but best air quality is when it’s warm enough to open the window at night . No good for you with the dust outside though

It’s always warm here lol. It’s been 30 degrees all week and it’s only end of April. Hate to think what’s it going to be in July/August. Windows won’t be open but the air con will be on 😅
