This kind of dosing is to keep the airways open throughout the day. The effect of each dose lasts around 4 hours. Hope this helps.

I was born with PCD, and for last few years I have to nebulise salbutamol and sodium chloride twice daily wearing mask, takes over 30 mins, then have to clean equipment and do few exercises to move sputum. Your enhalers are a simple way of tackling low lung congestion, hope they make you feel better. Regards, Jean

Hi Jean, hope you don't mind me asking but what exercises do you do after you've used your nebuliser? I have Bronchiectasis and nebulise sodium chloride twice a day through a mouth piece but haven't been told what exercises to do afterwards to help shift the mucus. No worries if you're not up to answer this. Thank you 😊xxx

Hi, the exercise is slapping lungs for few minutes, trying big breaths, using Aerobika, and when possible doing walk around in fresh air, or indoors warm air. If feel necessary I sit and bend forwards and try moving sputum. Hope this helps xx

When I first got COPD back in the dark ages. I was prescribed an inhaler called Duovent. I had to take that 4 times a day or as needed. I was pretty bad with breathing every day but I smoked then.

Duovent was the same as taking BLUE Ventolin and GREEN Atrovent)

Prescribed this way is to try and keep the airways open.
