Hi I've suffered from bullous emphysema for 20 years now and although I have restricted activities, I've managed to keep fairly mobile .Just lately I've have suffered from very tight chest and back hyperinflation causing severe discomfort and pain when walking . I'm on trimbow and Sabutamol and do pulmonary rehabilitation once a week.
Can anyone suggest anything else that might help . Thanks Mike

Have you discussed this at pulmonary rehab? They would be good to discuss the situation with. You don’t say how long this has been an issue. Is it recent? Are you sure it isn’t a chest infection???
Hi Bevvy yes been a major issue for 3 months and to a lesser extent longer. Not a chest infection having lots in the past. I'll ask at pulmonary but I think it's just getting worse unfortunately. Thanks for reply & a nice New Year.
it might only give short term relief, but I completely exhale emptying the lungs, it might give you a bit of a respite with the pain and discomfort. I also have bullous emphysema
Hi Gary thanks for that tip, I do something similar but find it difficult to do much exhaling when I'm actually walking. Will give it a try .Have a good New Year Mike
