I've had another appointment at the Pleural clinic on Nov 13th. I only had the procedure done 2 days ago! I've tried to phone to ask what's wrong but I can't get hold of anybody.....I'm really worried now....a bit down and despondent....😔😒
Oh my....: I've had another appointment... - Lung Conditions C...
Oh my....
Maybe it is just a follow up to check all is ok.
That's what I'm hoping...if it was bad they'd have me in before then...wouldn't they? XX
Try not to worry as I’m sure they’d let you know if it was anything to be worried about. Stay calm as the 13th isn’t far off. Xxx
I would agree with both Littlepom and sassy 😊 Two week follow up sounds about right for your procedure to me! Try not to worry 🌼🌼🌼 xx
I'll try....I only had the procedure done 2 days ago....just worried the results aren't too good...xx
it’s easy to say try not to worry but it’s not easy todo. I had a telephone consultation with my lung consultant, and after looking at my ct scan from February, he said I would need a repeat to check for further deterioration. The ct appointment came for 4 days later, despite the wait usually being 6 weeks I’m now worried sick waiting for a phone call, so I have no right to say don’t worry!
Know exactly what you mean Helen....I know I overthink things but I think you do when you live alone....I'm trying my best...xx
I’m living with my daughter at the moment, after a fall in May. I try not to burden my children too much and my husband has dementia and is in a car home, but the minute the dr mentioned scarring all I can focus on is pulmonary fibrosis. My brother was diagnosed with it in January so Orr’s always at the back of my mind.
Yes I live on my own and had a very traumatic experience just before lockdown which added to several chronic health problems means I too overthink things. Used to be able to cope with anything that came my way but not anymore. The support, understanding and brilliant advice given by members of this forum is so helpful to me. Take care and keep posting because it's good to 'talk' with people who understand 🙂❤️xxx
I am waiting for results of my cystoscopy to see if BCG has worked, it has not thus far, so am apprehensive - near 4 weeks since cystoscopy, normally about two - Not sure what to make of it. I hope you get a good phone call. - As you say, we all worry
Dear Sue and Helen, I hope everything is better than you think.
I once got called on a Friday afternoon and was told my GP wanted to see me on Monday. It was the worst weekend of my life, wondering what he'd found out.
Monday's appointment arrived and I went into the room in fear and trembling. I thought such an urgent appointment could only mean bad news.
Did it heck!
He simply told me exactly the same thing that I had been told at the hospital a few weeks earlier. The report had only just reached him!
There was nothing unexpected and, to be honest, I was a bit cross with him for worrying me so much. He explained that the receptionist had found a cancelled appointment and slotted me in!
So, all that worry for nothing!
Please try not to get yourselves in a state like I did. You only have a short time to wait. It's better than waiting months. Try and see the positive side of it if you can.
Xx Moy (a fellow worrier!)
It's natural to worry about it but I wouldn't worry because if was urgent they would contact you sooner I expect. Hope you get in touch with them asap just to put your mind at rest 😉
His Sue it's only been two days, normally takes longer than that,
I had an OP 4 weeks for cancer ago and I have not heard anything yet about a follow up.
Follow ups are just to let you know exactly what is what, You have a date which is just 11 days away.
Two days really is a short - I never ever have a had a follow up in such a short time.
Try not to worry, you will know soon .
Take care and try and stay calm.
I think it could be follow up cause surely there would have mentioned something or at least said there doing another procedure so hopefully just follow up take care
Dear Sue and Helen, my fingers are crossed for both of you. 🤞🤞🤞xxx
