I suffer with Bronchiatesis and in this hot weather my legs feel like lead and I can hardly walk. Is this normal? Carnut

I suffer with broncheactesis too. My legs feel like lead and I feel like a dead donkey. Think we just have to sit it out and wait for the weather to cool down abit. It’s very exhausting.

I don't have Bronchiatesis - I have COPD and scarring on lungs - I frequently get lead legs.

I have bronch and in this weather don't feel like doing anything much. My legs feel leaden quite a lot of the time. I don't think lack of exercise helps.

I have bronchiectasis and this heat not only gives me heavy legs but swollen ankles and feet too like pigs trotters

I would have pigs trotters too, if I wasn't on enough water tablets to make an elephant rush to the loo every 10 minutes! 😂🤣 xx

I have severe COPD and I am learning just to go with things. If my legs feel like lead (which they do in this heat) I just sit it out and wait for the cool of evening.

Has anyone else found it strange that by the time it cools down in the evening it's dark? Not used to having this weather in September , it's usually when we have long, light evenings!

We'll be back to normal soon chaps and chapessess, hang on in there! xx

Yes, a bit annoying that when it's cool enough to open the windows it's twilight the mozzies & moths fly in 🙄. I think its pretty normal in this heat.

I've just walked a mile to town & back in the heat, homeward was a bit of a plod with heavy legs ( it was an urgent errand, at least I clocked almost 5000 steps 👍).

Now feet up on the north facing side of home. The south facing side is all shut with a towel pegged over a thin blind to keep out the heat.

You are brave going out in this heat ! I have only been out to water my garden! My house faces south, so all windows shut and curtains drawn until at least 6! But it is very cool in here thank goodness! Xx

My own fault, I should have gone at 9am. Couldn't disappoint a granddaughter . I have to drive 90 miles east later, definitely not looking forward to that!

Omg me too ... we live in a 2 bedroomed bungalow not very big at all , it used to take me half hour to go through every room hoover each room then mop the bathroom and kitchen... Last night I waited for it to cool a bit then hoovered and mopped.. struggled like hell my arms ached legs too in fact whole body just wanted to flop and lie down, hissing tinnitus too and thumping heart.... I don't appreciate getting old its frustrating 😒

But seriously this heat is not kind to us oldies and poorly people ....

Try some mint imperials, they're little gems they help both coughing, blocked nose and indigestion .. and Buttercup syrup is a good old fashioned cough syrup that helps your chest/breathing , maybe add a little hot water for better effect x
