I have alpha one antitrypsin deficiency ZZ. My alpha Dr. says cystic fibrosis is a sister condition. Both are genetic!

I thought they had decided that bronchiectasis did not come under the COPD umbrella. I don't mind either way, but It's easier to explain to people, since more people (and official forms) have heard of COPD>

Good morning, I agree, they are both Chronic lung diseases that make it hard to breathe for everyone. They have also detailed in the Defining COPD picture that Most Common COPD Manifestations come from a combination of Emphysema and Chronic Bronchitis. Have an amazing Monday my friend.
