Personally I love the charity shops and there are loads of other types in my town centre. I don't really miss Woolies coz they stopped being the shop where you could buy anything and became (down here anyway) the place where they employed far too few staff and the queues were long. x
I like the charity shops as well but yes woolies did go downhill. I didn't mind them as they did have some good things but they couldn't compete in the modern trading market.
Our old Woolies is now H&M, BHS is still empty, C&A is Poundland, the indoor market has closed and there are fewer and fewer stalls on the outdoor one☹️ I used to enjoy a trip into town, now I only go there when I have to - I wish it wasn't so.
Our old Woolies is now Primark and I must admit I like it better! The old C and A is now Wilkos and M and S has gone out of our town centre to join the out of town shopping outlets. These are difficult and time consuming to get to without a car which I don't have. x
good as usual thank you and yes share your sentiments re woolworths criminal what happened to them and sad especially for smaller towns where they were the only general store xx
Too true Don. N unless we use our shops, instead of shopping online, things can only get worse. I only use online shopping if i cant get a product in any of the shops. Also, won't buy from these overpriced Coffee shops, who produce so much waste. Shopping daily gets me out, it's a bit of excersize n company. And a Coffee in a proper Cafe with a real Cup, is not only cheaper, it keeps a server and a pot washer in work. I,m careful where i spend my hard earned Cash. As i believe that one of our few powers n influences,is how and where,we spend our Money.💰 N yes, i miss Woolies, too. So much to look at. 😊✌️🌻
