on this inhaler, anyone else had it what do you think????

You are obviously out of the UK although I think people use it here. Not me I'm afraid so can't help. It looks like a powder one rather than the spray type (MDI). Have you read the leaflet in the box?, you can also find it on line in English along with directions on how to use it. Worth remembering that new inhalers usually take approximately 3 weeks to work into the system so don't give up if it's not working within a week. P

have been put on trimbow and that has taken two /three weeks to develop coughs and sneeze all the time , I didn't have this before to this extent. pharmacist will be phoning me soon . has anybody else had problems with trim bow ?

Hi I have been on Trimbow for a couple of years. I have had no problems and very rarely need to use my reliever. Everybody is different though.

I was prescribed Trimbow in hospital, replacing Fostair and Genueaire. I don't know whether it's the Trimbow or the fact that I am on oxygen as well but I find I don't need my Salamol reliever as much. I have no side effects.

Yes I'd been on it for 3 years ever since asthma was diagnosed alongside bronchiectasis. It suited me all though I hate the damage to vocal chords even though I rinse and gargle each time. As I'm not happy with the high amount of steroid I'm now on the lower dose Relvar and fingers crossed it seems to be effective. Jo

Can’t remember how long must be 3 years but for me it’s better than any other I’ve had. Like Lizpat I have the lower dose. To be honest I didn’t know they did a higher dose. I also have Seebri. See how you go ask for the lower dose if you need to.

I’ve been on this inhaler, along with three others, for about four years. I have asthma and bronchiecstasis, diagnosed in 2012, and the Revlar was the last inhaler added to the cocktail.

Hi. I was on that inhaler for about 4 years , now on Trelegy ellipta which has an extra drug in it . I find them good and have never had any problems with either of them.Hope this helps.

I was prescribed this to replace Fostair as I had continual oral thrush despite rinsing and gargling etc. It works for me as it’s one puff once a day. The only downside is when I’m having an exacerbation/ infection, as it’s difficult to inhale as this makes me cough even more. I too am concerned about the high steroid content and plan to have a word with the Respiratory Consultant when I finally get to see him next month. Hope that it helps to know that others are using it with no real problems.

Well I can't help much , I was given this inhaler as you only have to use it once a day. It is a powder type very good for asthma , however this dose although lower than many others as not been trialed in patients with COPD so in my case I had an adverse reaction ending up in hospital MDU unit . Its use is not recommended for those with COPD . A different dose is used for those with COPD, I believe. All we can do is try the new stuff. I will say too you proceed with care.

Just been put on Trelegy elliptical from hospital s had 5 infections in 3 months and constant thrush from trimbow I a bit worried about it too as have osteoporosis would be good if you let us know how you get on with consultant good luck .

Hi primrose 71, I don't see a consultant for my lung condition only if theres a flare up. I will be seeing the orthopeadic consultant in a couple of weeks. Will let you know how that goes. The last time I saw a lung specialist was around 2011 at Glen field Heart and lung unit in Leicester. But I do still have a problem controlled by three inhalers. Stay safe. The inhaler you were given was tried on me about three years or so ago.

Hi primrose71, I have osteoporosis and am on Relvar( high dose steroid), if it's any comfort my osteoporosis clinic say as long as I am getting treatment for my osteoporosis it will help prevent further damage from steroid use. I have an annual IV treatment for osteoporosis called Zoledronate. It's all a balancing act of pros and cons for all medicines!!!

I've been on Relvar92/22 for donkeys' years, originally for asthma, but it suits me, so they didn't change it when I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis. I do have to gargle to stop it affecting my voice.
