All around the bloomin heather 🎶 🎵

Such a pretty colour. Nice to see 💜💜💜
That is absolutely magnificent ! 😍
Aww thankyou so much 💓

I’m so jealous, earlier in the year I bought a pot of heather , I’ve always wanted it in the garden but never managed to keep it alive but guess what 😃…….. it’s already dead !😂. I always thought its so hardy it should grow anywhere but having read up I think the problem has been too much water so I shall buy another pot , I will not be defeated 💪😂
You go get that heather from your local garden centre and pop it down in your garden ...I'm with you all the way and will keep you strong 💪... you got this 😂😂😂

I will not give in ! One day I SHALL grow heather ! ( I’m channeling Scarlet O’Hara here 😂) When it is twelve months old I shall photograph it and display it on here with pride for all to see !!💪 😂
I think it needs ericaecious (spelling?) compost which is more acidic than ordinary soil and good drainage xx
You’re right , I knew about the soil type but didn’t realise they don’t like too much water so the last one ( in a pot ) became waterlogged in a particularly wet spell earlier in the year . Previously I’ve planted them in the garden in heavy clay soil which they didn’t like either 🤦🏻♀️ I always imagined they’d be easy to grow !🙄

What a lovely colour so nice thank you for sharing have a good night and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx 🌻🌻
Thankyou my lovlies 💜
A pretty good show Bb, as you say, having a drought has not helped the heather, but you got the sun shining through, thank you for sharing xxx
that is lovely . such colour when it glows like that .I went to Yorkshire moors one july and found the moor was glowing . We went back 2 days later with camera to find the glow had gone . heather was still there, sun was still there but it lost the wonderful glow. Never seen it like that since either. Just lucky that day travelling fro m Pickering to Whitby to visit my parents .
It's been pretty poor this year with no rain the forest looks baldy this year compared to others Thanks for sharing a lovley memory of yours 💜
That really looks to be thriving in spite of the low water levels, quite lush.
Best I have seen this year 💜
How gorgeous is that.Bless you for sharing you have made my day x
Ahhh thankyou 💜
I can remember being surrounded by blooming heather on a hill above Dundee. The scent was heavenly.
Love the scent of heather after the rain on a warm morning...Scottish heather smells different to here it's fresher because of the heavy rains 🌧
That’s gorgeous and it looks like it’s thriving. The heather in our garden is beginning to wither xx
There's a lot of it not so good this year due to the heat 💜
Beautiful colour. Thank you ❤️
Thank-you Mooka hope you're well 💜

I’m well thanks. I hope you and Stan are too. Loving your pictures 💕
We are very well thankyou ...Stanley's just been clipped so a bit better in the heat with shorter coat ...
We are walking from 6 ish at the moment to beat the heat and afternoon siestas for us 😂

This weather is too hot for dodgy lungs and dogs. Molly goes out early morning and evenings. We have a lot of blue green algae around here too so not much swimming at the moment either.
"Will ye go lassie go"🎶 what a beautiful site and must smell heavenly x
It's got a rather fresh scent this year like a white linen smell 🙈💜

I would have to make some little pillow bags for the bed and make the most of this x

Its the last full supermoon of the year on Thursday BB, I envy you living in such a beautiful spot where you can see this so clearly, hope your camera is prepped and ready x
Gorgeous! Saw pictures of lavender fields in France that should have looked similar, sadly just rows and rows of dead plants, so sad. Thanks for sharing xx
It's so dry this year sadly 😥
I agree with everyone - such a beautiful colour 💜 and a very good photograph BB 😊
Stratos thanks so much 💜
I totally adore that song infact I go as far as saying I love it, it is my favourite song of all time. It reminds me of my childhood growing up in Scotland and it always makes me cry. Funny isn't it because it is my favourite song.
Awww lots of memories spring to mind for you ..I hope it's good tears your shedding ...💜
I was born and raised in Scotland moved south in 1987 ...
The song itself reminds me of get togethers in my mum and dad's home of a weekend when you would go round the room with a sing song ...
Coming from a family of 13 children we used to sing quite a bit a few of played instruments 😂😂

We used to sing mostly on special days like new years eve. My grandparents used to come down and we would each take a turn at singing. My step grandmother used to sing one of Ella Fitzgerald's songs my grandfather used to sing Jerusalem, my stepmother and her mother would sing any song that had room to have a harmonizers and my stepmother would sing the main song and my step grandmother would harmonize, my dad did not sing, my sister used to sing Mollie Malone with her cockles and mussels and I used to sing all around the blooming heather (I can't remember the proper name). It used to make me cry because I had sad memories as I moved to London when I was 17 years on my own. Now it makes me a wee bit sad. So there is my reason I know that song.
