good luck, I have a cattarah in my right eye, had it a couple of years but it isnt bad enough to be taken away, the thought of it is scary enough indeed. Although my friend had both hers done and her eyesight became brilliant after.
How's Pepparuby the black panther doing?
I hope Hector is behaving himself after his treatment and not Hectoring Pepparuby!
Hector is still quarantined some of the time but he’s not really interested in her she’s free of him the hyperthyroidism made him that way but he’s now rid of it thank you how’s baby?
Baby is great and still getting spoilt!
How's Mollie getting on?
Mollie demands her breakfast in the garden on the sofa lol
Mollie is a very bossy girl!
I feel loads better now I'm not being Hectored by my father!
Years ago when I was 20 I was working as a care assistant in a residential home and my father had Hectored me about when was I going to be getting a proper job and was I going to watch people die until I did and a colleague there had said to me how my father should have respected my wishes and how care work is a proper job!
A few of my friends feel that my father got what he deserved when he suffered a few years before he died last year due to that kind of attitude!
Thinking of you for tomorrow Spacecat. Xxx
Thank you xx
Hope tomorrow goes well ! Thinking of you!🌺
Best of luck Space at -I will be thinking of you.Am also due an eye appointment as routine diabetic appointment showed up a lesion at back of my eye.
I feel so lucky that we have access to good medical care when needed.

Good luck Spacecat, I am sure you will be fine. I have had two laser iridotomies (where they put holes in your eyes) in the last couple of months and have been fine. Deep breaths and it will be over in no time x

Hi spacecat I went for my assessment last week ,I also asked about sedation, I was told they don't do it anymore ,they told me to ask my GP for something ,let me know how you get on with the sedation question as I feel I couldn't have it without good luck
Just to reassure you- I spent years and years wanting laser eye surgery but couldn’t as I was terrified of eye surgery- I couldn’t understand how anyone could stand to have cataract surgery or laser eye surgery while they were awake. It gave me the heebie-jeebies 🤣.Then I sort of got fed up with being scared, watched a load of YouTube videos and got better informed. I realised that in fact, for the most part, it is totally painless, so what is there to worry about, really?
Last year I had laser eye surgery and it was an absolute breeze, totally and utterly painless, and now I have wonderful vision without glasses.
Please have your cataract surgery and try not to worry too much- good luck- it will be fine! 💐
I had this done 2 days ago , no pain apart from stinging a few seconds for eye drops . Made me feel very relaxed , music they played while having procedure done was from 80s very foot tapping . No after pain . Don’t be frightened l was made to feel in safe hands . Xx
Good luck keeping 🤞🙏 for you everything going be ok.
youve waited long enough dont let them bull shit you
You gotta make it happen
Hi! I panicked when I had mine done and my blood pressure went through the roof. I wasn’t allowed to come home for a while. I was the same with the second one. I just didn’t like the thoughts of my eye being touched. Everyone I spoke to said oh I’ve had mine done. There’s nothing to it. I just panicked though. I could have done with sedation. I wasnt offered it. I can now say as others said to me. There’s nothing too it. 🤣. It’s what your mind tells you isn’t it? I’ve now got to at some point go and have laser treatment on one as he creased the pocket when he put the lens in. I’m nervous about that too. My Sister had it done and she said there’s nothing to it. Those words again. Means nothing if you don’t like the thought of it.
Good luck. I hope you get the sedation.;you’ll be fine. Thousands of us have had them both done.
I'm sure you will be fine, just follow the instructions and use the drops etc that you will be sent home with. I actually found it a dawdle it was like looking at stars and a very nice nurse (a man) held my hand the whole time, my problem is that I have Fuchs Dystrophy which isn't a problem until you have to have a cataract op as you then have problems with the cornea, it took several years to get the corneal transplant but that went well and other than having to put Prednisolone eye drops in every day my eyesight has improved quite well. Good luck for tomorrow and try not to stress xxx
Best wishes- hope all goes well xxx
Hi there Spacecat1, I don't think you know me but I have had both of my cataracts done about 3 years ago.The procedure itself was pain free and I didn't feel the doctor doing them. I had one eye done at a time and I didn't feel a thing. I will tell you something the next day after each one was done I could see properly. I needed glasses before and I was terribly short sighted. So it was lovely for me and I didn't need glasses to see, well I was ecstatic. I only needed my glasses for reading and driving. There really is no need for sedation before unless you specifically wanted something. Afterwards there was also no pain. Since then I have.no pain either. I do hope you get on okay. Xxxx
Hi Spacecat. I hope that your op is now over and that you can now join the other folk that said it was straight forward. I had a 50-50 result when mine were done. The slight problem with the first was rapidly overcome by the ease of the second.
I now don’t wear glasses for anything.
Take care.
Grace
