Hi Alice. You close the cap, turn the base, lift the cap, press the button and inhale. I think the dose won’t load unless the cap is closed. As for which you take first - good question,😁

I have never got a definitive answer from asthma nurses.

The confusing part to me is were it says repeat steps 4 to 6 three more times

Turn it and spray it 4 times before use .. your flushing the system before using it so your getting full 2.5 mgs of use ... always spray away from face when flushing

Hope you get it sorted Alice. I gave up using it several years ago when it didn't help my breathing at all. Wasn't sorry as they are very user unfriendly and overly complicated in my opinion.

I can see why Carol, and don't blame you

The bit wear you repeat the stages is just when you first use the device to load the drugs. After the first use you only do the steps to load once. Good luck

I found mine seemed complicated at first - mainly because the information sheet in the box is so blooming huge! I couldn't see what was what!

Now, though, I find it easy to fit the cartridge in (with a good push down) and then, as others have said, to flush the system, you just have to close the cap, open it and push the button a few times until you see the cloud of inhaler come out (hold it away from you while you do it.)

It's a lot easier than the instructions make it sound.

And just to remind you, you only need to go through this performance when you start a new one. Once it's flushed, or 'primed', you just have to turn it, open the cap put it in your mouth and inhale the mist with the button pressed.

I was told by someone in the medical profession (either my consultant or RESP nurse) that it doesn't matter which way around you take your inhalers, but leave at leat 15 mins between them if you can. Don't take this as gospel as some people have other ideas, but it seems to work for me.

Sorry, I just re-read my post. I forgot to say that you have to turn it before you press the button. I'm sure you already know this by now. Xx Moy

OMG - I don't understand the instructions either. I'm glad I've never been prescribed this medication.

Hi Alice70. I use Spiriva dry caps. Easy to use with the applicator provided. I also take Fostair 200. I wasn't advised on time to use so take them at different times, well apart. All the best with that system.
