HI everyone hope you are all keeping well. Have made some big decisions last few weeks mum and myself talked things over and have decided that goingto take a year from college and do volunteering so I can find out what I like and can manage . Applied to local school and I can go in and help the little ones with there reading in September so that's good ,and there is a cat cafe in Bournemoth that wants volunteers so applied to do that aswell so we will see how that all goes . We looked up some courses aswell and might do some in coming year aswell . Also started the driving lessons on Saturday and it went really well so fingers crossed that continues.By not having to go to college I should be able to cope doing other things but I was really tired after driving lesson it really took it out of me the fatigue part of my illness seems to be more of a pain than the breathing .but hey ho can't change it ,keeping my fingers crossed I pass the maths exam this time it seemed to go well but I thought that the last time.lol
Been busy.: HI everyone hope you are... - Lung Conditions C...
Been busy.

Hi Pokermon, good yo do some thinking and planning so I hope things go well for you. Good luck with everything and hope you pass that exam. 🤞🏼Xxx💕🤗
Well thought out, you may find that you are not as fatigued after activities that are less personally stressful. I can imagine that a first driving lesson would be more stressful than working in a Cat Café, but that is a personal reaction. All the best SH
Well done you, I hope everything works out well for you, volunteering in the cat cafe will be such fun. Please let us know how you get on. Jo xx
Lovely to hear from you and that all looks like a really good plan. A way to discover things, explore options, and the driving will get easier! Promise! None of us found it easy, well, those that claimed to are rubbish drivers…. I love driving but even at my ripe old age (75) I know that every trip is a learning exercise. Lots of love, dear Pokermon

Hi Pokemon good luck with your volunteering work and youraths exam I'm sure you will pass. Have a good night and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx 🌻🌻
Gosh you have been busy making decisions! I think helping children read is one of the MOST important things any of us can do so I salute you! I was a college librarian most of my working life and believe reading is a door into the world. And little ones are so cute and say the funniest things. Good luck with the driving.
It’s positive that you’re making plans for the future, which allow for the impact an health issues have.it’s a good idea to see how much you can do x
Well done that all sounds good. Wishing you good luck for all your plans 🙂
Awe sweetheart good on ya for making these tough decisions. So pleased you are learning to drive - freedom and in dependance for you. The work with thekids sounds very rewarding. I have my opinions on cat cafes after visiting one in Leeds when I was actually looking for a cat. I would be very interesting to hear your views as someone working on the inside.
Wishing you the very best with your new adventures.
With love 💕💕
Good luck with everything. Best wishes
So pleased for you -well done and good luck !
It’s good that you and your mum have been doing lots of talking and planning. I’m sure you will love listening to children read hugely satisfying. I was an infant teacher and one of my favourite parts of the day was hearing read. I hope you get accepted at the cafe too. Good luck with the driving lessons - very stressful for anyone. Let us know how you get on.
What a great idea. You've listed several wonderful thing you can do in your gap year that will be as fulfilling for you as for the people and creatures you help.Learning something new and totally different can be very exhausting, but if you continue to do it, it will get a bit easier.
Nothing can beat experience in life, so go for it Pokermon and enjoy your time out x
Fingers crossed for you!
Sounds like good choices, being able to drive will great for you. Good luck with everything you choose to do ❤️x
Maths !!!! Always a difficult subject for me but I struggled and struggled and finally passed! I hope you pass as well but don't let it get you down if you don't pass. I really like that you are are trying with a number of activities . If things don't work out , pick yourself up, dust yourself down, and try again. I love your spirit x
Sound like you and mum have worked out a good plan. Not surprised you found driving exhausting- it involves using your feet, hands and eyes all doing different things at once, at least that's how I felt when I started. Still do to some extent- I got very out of practise during lockdown. But I bet you get the hang of it pretty quickly. Good luck with your exams and with the new potential jobs you are trying. xxx
My you have been busy thinking about your next moves. Volunteering sounds like a good plan as well as trying to do some courses. Fingers crossed you get less tired as the driving goes on Good luck to you Pokermon in all you do xx
Good to hear u r learning to drive& doing voluntary work too.great experience and gd on yr cv too.xxx
What a great plan! A few more people could benefit from doing what you're doing. It'll be a really good way to find out what direction your future lies in and a brilliant way of adding to your CV too.
Reading with the children can be great fun and very rewarding. Also, you'll be meeting staff members and interacting with them as an equal (ie, not 'teacher' and 'pupil'). I really hope you enjoy it.
I've never been to a Cat Cafe, although there is one here in Eastbourne, so I've no idea at all of what you might be expected to do. I look forward to hearing all about it from you! If you get any freebie cakes, just remember who your friends are. Lol!
Good luck with your driving lessons. For what it's worth, when I started mine I was 23. I still remember getting out of the car after my first one and feeling terrific aches in my thighs and calves and also in my upper arms. It wasn't so bad the next time I went and after that, I didn't notice it at all. And yes, it was very tiring, just concentrating all the time was really hard at first. So, don't give up because of tiredness as, with luck, you'll find the same as I did and it will become less and less the more you drive the car.
xx Moy
That sounds like an interesting plan and driving lessons can be very Stressful ,but worth it for the freedom it gives you xx
Great plans, Pokerman. A year out will be good for you and getting experience outside college life will give you some idea of which direction you want to go. Do let us know how things are going. Wishing you the best of luck, the driving will get easier, it's all experience. Enjoy your year out xxx 😊
