Being a carer for my husband who I sadly lost last May, I still like to read this forum from time to time to see how all you lovely people are getting on. How saddened was I to read the passing of the wonderful Ski’s (Mike). He brightened everybody’s day with his humor and wit, he certainly gave me a laugh at my lowest ebb and as you have all said he was unique and will be sadly missed. RIP Mike. 😇 Love Carole

He will be missed and it is sad when we lose a forum member. It doesn't seem so long since you lost your husband and I hope that you are doing as well as can be Carole, love from another Carole xx

Hi Johnsel I totally agree with you, he was a big part of this forum. Just like you I too lost my husband in April last year and come on the forum to read and occasionally interact but I have to say I was so saddened and totally shocked with his story and passing. I think this forum is unique with so much care and compassion that some would notice that you had gone off line for a bit but to find out that person had passed with such a sad ending. Poor Charlotte would have been devastated hearing that firsthand 🥲

He would have been and if he could see us all mourning for him I think he would be happy. Thank you Carole I haven’t been well myself this year but coping with the help of my friends and family xx

Mike would want everyone to live their lives as fully as they can and yes I was upset on Thursday hearing that even though he had been ill for ages it was a shock but not a surprise.

Hello Carole, it would be crass to say i know how you feel, but my dear brother lost his beloved wife a couple of years ago and it left a great big hole in his life. I'm okay, thank you for asking, but finding it increasingly hard work to look after my husband ,who has dementia. Still we soldier on.xxx
