Breathing OK but worried it could be pneumonia. I don't react well to antibiotics. Got some ciprofloxacin here but so ill 2yrs ago on them.

Scared.

I think you should contact your doctor for advice, no one here is medically trained.

This sounds like a classic bronch bacterial exacerbation coming in on the back of the virus. It is going to need treating. As you have problems with oral antibiotics this may need IV., especially as following covid. If you have a bronch specialist call their secretary today or failing that, insist on seeing your GP. and hope that they can ger something organised.. please don't leave it.

Hi, so sorry to hear this, have you informed your respiratory team, your consultant and GP?I think its pretty urgent that you do to organise proper a antibiotic or IV abs and hopefully they can perhaps also prescibe Dexomethosone the steroid that helps combat covid - although I'm not a medic so I do hope you'll seek expert help asap. Good luck

Thanks to all. Waiting to hear back from GP who refused to give me anti virals, not eligible. False economy.Do have ciprofloxacin here but very bad reaction 2yrs ago. Oxygen levels fine & OK in self but don't know if this is the norm with covid. Need chest checked. 🤞Appreciate all knd words & suggestions. X

Hello.. I did manage to see my reg GP which was reassuring. She was not unduly concerned after checking BP, temp, Sat's, & listening to chest.

Advised me to hold off on antibis unless I deteriorated.

It did give me some peace of mind in these unsure Covid times.

Thanks to all!

Linda x
