Bless you Ern, we will all miss dear skischool (Mike) a great deal and I can’t believe he’s gone. Thinking of you having cancer treatment and wishing you better days ahead.
Lovely Charlotte (JerryMaren) did a great job of tracking skis down. He would have been proud of her.
Thank's sassy, it was a shock - Yes he would have been proud of Charlotte, she did a fantastic job. I thought it great the number of reply's on Isb1 thread, that speaks heaps. You also take care xx
I was following the thread yesterday in the search for Mike and the brilliant job that Charlotte was doing, but it still came as a complete shock when I read today’s news. He was such a kind man, funny as well. He’ll be sorely missed.
Hi Ern. Yesterday was not a good day but today we have to pick up the pieces and get on with life as best we can, but he will not be forgotten. Hoping life is a little easier these days and your treatment is working. Take care of yourself xxx
Hi, see from earlier post that you have op in 8 weeks, could I ask what cancer you have had chemo for. My husband died of prostate cancer, was refused treatment until too late as his PSA blood test readings always very low. I’m telling every man I can that PSA unreliable, senior people know this. Sorry if this causes you worry, but guess yours not prostate cancer. Best wishes xx
Hi, sorry for late reply. it is Bladder Cancer. it has not spread from the bladder which is good, the problem is it is aggressive and likely to return, so so I will have to have Immunotherapy for some while to come and TURB ops.. I had Chemo after my first TURB and side effect there was none, would rather have that than Immunotherapy ---My Father died of prostate cancer, miles to late when he was diagnosed. On my mothers side her brother died of prostate cancer - However seems I am not affected, I have an enlarged prostate which is not malignant...That was confirmed when I had the camera that diagnosed my bladder cancer. Sorry to here about your husband Prostate Cancer took two of my friends as well as my father. My PSA has been up and been down, it is not 100% reliable as you know. Take care x
Morning, no need to apologise, we all have busy lives, particularly those of us who live alone. Thank you for your full reply, my very best wishes that treatment works well for you. I’ve lost several friends to prostate cancer, glad that you know the PSA test not reliable, pity more GPs don’t recognise this, and stop ignoring it. Good luck, Jean x
