What does everyone thing of what happening in the Ukraine I feel so sad for them all but admire their president he is one very courageous man and so loyal to his people , I can’t watch much of it on the news as I end up crying and feeling so helpless my hearts breaks for all those civilians their children and loved ones must be awful to live through 😢😢
We have had some sun the last couple of days and it makes a huge difference to my mood really quite uplifting 😊
Any way take care all of you and stay safe
Best wishes

Great to see your post cales and hoping you’re keeping as well as possible. The situation in Ukraine is heartbreaking and we’re not watching much of the news. I just hope the war ends soon for the sake of those poor people.
The situation in Ukraine is awful! But I think it's also getting bad for the ordinary Russians too. Like you, I find it difficult to watch the news reports now and what I do see breaks my heart.
Locally, we know a young woman from Ukraine, married to an English man and very settled here with their children. She has family back in Ukraine who have not yet managed to get out. She has appealed for essential items which someone is transporting to the Ukraine border. We took some things to her and she was so emotional. She asked if she could give me a hug and she was in tears. We had a long, proper hug and I hope it made her feel a little better. I would guess I am about the same age as her grandmother who is in the Ukraine and who she may never see again. The memory of that hug will stay with me for ever.
We cannot fix this situation. We can only do any little bit we can to help. It doesn't matter how small that is - it will all be welcome.
Alongside this, our own country is becoming beautiful again after the winter. The daffodils are out in profusion, along with the crocuses. The days are getting longer and brighter and the birds are making such a racket every morning now that it's getting hard to sleep through it! Springtime is a most wonderful time of the year and when the garden comes alive again it lifts my spirits so much!
All I wish now is that the window cleaner would soon come as the recent storm left all our windows covered in salt and dust! It will be so nice to be able to look out through clean windows again. Little things make me happy! 🤣
