I tested positive yesterday , I have newly diagnosed mild asthma , costochondritis and I have a pacemaker . I have had flu symptoms on and off since before Christmas , yesterday I started having headaches , then I feel dizzy , lightheaded and I go off balance . I will be trying to get a gp appointment tomorrow but just wondered if anyone has experienced these symptoms with covid .

This new variant is affecting upper respiratory tract which includes head, ears, sinuses, eyes and throat. So I hope you are stocked up on paracetamol , nasal spray, sore throat spray etc.

Hope you don’t suffer too badly and the dizziness wears off soon. Don’t hesitate to Get in touch with your GP if you feel the need. 🤞🤞💐🍇

Hi Westie my niece was admitted to hospital on Friday with the same symptoms as you. She doing fine so please don't worry . They are more concerned about her blood sugar levels than they are of the covid. Please get some medical advice to make sure everything is ok, and to put your mind at rest. Please let us know how you get on., Please have a good day and take care, I hope you are better soon.love 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx

Do you think it might be an idea to ring 111 today and ask for advice ….tell them about your pacemaker , your other conditions and your symptoms .Do you have an oximeter to hand to check your O2 levels ?

Best wishes .

Hello Westie, Sorry you've joined this particular club. My symptoms aren't particularly like yours except the dizziness. I feel as if I could fall over if I'm not careful. so I hang on to whichever piece of furniture is to hand. I've had covid a week now and my temperature is more or less back to normal and the hacking cough has almost gone. I do feel very tired. Good luck- I hope you have a relatively easy time of it, same as me. Thank goodness for the 3rd vaccination.

I had a phone appointment with my gp yesterday , because I’ve been having dizziness for a few days and with my cardiac history she wafted me to go to hospital for tests . Thankfully everything was ok cardiac wise so my symptoms are all caused by covid . I’m on antibiotics for a week and waiting to hear about getting some medication for covid that is given to people who are high risk . Still not feeling too great today but glad I’m home .
