I thought some of you would like this autumnal shot, taken this morning of the London to Brighton veteran car run. This year is the 125th anniversary!

For 25 years I played the church organ at HMP Brixton. So on the 1st Sunday of November I would cycle to the prison and have to cross this traffic on Brixton Hill. Bar one Sunday, the weather was always sunny, crisp and with a nip in the air. This picture was taken from Streatham Common.
Thank you. Lovely photo. Kx
Thanks for posting the photo. I used to enjoy going with my husband to see the old classic cars when they were invited to be part of a festival or fund raising event.

See my reply to Sassy 59.Brixton Hill and Streatham High Road is/was a great place to view these old cars chugging along. I remember when the public would dress in Victorian or Edwardian costume to wave as the cars went by. The drivers and their passengers wrapped in woollen or cashmere blankets' waving back at the crowds on the pavements. Incidentally Cas, this photo was taken by the female vicar of the church where I play once a month. The church tower can be seen in the photo, opposite Streatham Common. I thought I'd share the photo on HU.
