Just been prescribed Uniphyllin, been taking it for 6 days now and find my breathing certainly no better and possibly worse as I find myself coughing more as well as a load of other possible side effects. As usual I am being treated for general COPD with bronchodilators in various guises but I have stage 4 emphysema. Any body else on a similar regime..

Hi, I was prescribed uniphylin about 5 years ago. I didn't find it helped at all but didn't have any side effects. After about 6 months I told my doctor it seemed pointless taking it and it was discontinued. If you think it is having adverse effects for you, speak to your doctor sooner rather than later.
Unfortunately it's trial and error until you get something which suits you. Good luck and best wishes.
Im on uniphyllin + find it very gd and am on it all the time but copd isnt my diagnosis.
