New South African variant

Here is a respected source that reflects my view that it is not of any current concern. Strange as it may seem to some I actually do know what I am talking about. I cannot help but learn from all the articles I find, I do read them all and not just blindly post them. Hey ho, whatever floats your boat.

Sadly most media and social media reports need a pinch of salt and in depth study. There are many strains/variants few of which become variants of concern VOC. Happily even if they make this list they only have a theoretical potential to be harmful. It took many months for both the Alfa and Delta variants to be studied and found to be more infectious etc, If you think about the Californian, new York variants and the press coverage given, where are they now?

Very true, indeed, the media never seem to get made accountable for their reporting. The media can say that a planet busting asteroid is going to hit the Earth tomorrow, cause panic and mayhem, perhaps even riots, but that is okay, it creates sales, they get away with it. I think, sometimes, society is pretty screwed up and needs to examine some of it's priorities.

Yes, like perhaps telling the truth for a change! Thanks 2greys!

Thanks for this, really helpful of you to sift through the dross. To be honest I don't take a lot of notice of any news these days, too depressing. I hope you and yours are well

Sadly only hyped up bad news seems to sell papers and fill the news programmes. Wasn't there a story about a newspaper that only printed good news but had to fold after a few editions because no-one bought it. And true to its principles, it didn't include the story of its closure in the last edition.

Ironically, or not, I hadn’t heard the news about the good news newspaper. Neither about its creation or closing. I would buy that paper! Who wouldn’t want to be uplifted and given hope 🤔

There was The Independent which did survive for some years. It could be relied upon to exclude stories about royalty and z listers. Sorely missed, The Guardian doesn't do it for me anymore although I do read it or the I newspaper as its not full of fluff - & only 60p!

2greys has been banned unfortunately, lots have posted objections to this. One of the people that posted have had their post blocked from any of us replying to it in support of 2greys.

Hi

Many thanks. I was aware of the situation and I was just testing the water. I would imagine that HU are now in the woke/cancellation business. Whatever happened to free speech??? If they found his post was offensive why didn't they just delete it and be done with it.

Again - thanks for responding and, of course, stay safe.

A Post I made headed "Censorship" has now been blocked from anyone posting to it. All the replies were in support of 2greys. In the e-mail I got from HU the reasons given are as follows:-

The post is for information only

To stop conflict in the replies section

To prevent new replies on a post that is outdated

To stop trolling or spamming in the replies section

To prevent new replies on posts by deceased users

I was not aware of any conflict in this post from any of the replies,

As I only posted today how can it be outdated,

Not aware of any trolling or spamming in the replies sections

and I hardly think that there are any deceased users would be replying.

I guess I just wait to see if I also get banned now for posting this. Hey Ho worse things happen at sea.

In case I dissappear I wish you and other contributors to this forum all the very best, apart from the instigator of all of this.

Well said. It is as I said - some nobody trying to make a name for himself /herself AND I saw the moderator's response earlier and I was in no way surprised as the heavy hand of censorship was applied. My input has been generally in respect of forum members asking advice about benefits and various meds that we had in common. I will probably get barred too for totally agreeing with you and I suspect our posts will never see the light of day. Am I bovvered? Not at all. As Groucho Marx famously said " I wouldn't want to be a member of any club of which I am a member" - paraphrased of course.

Good luck to you

Waiting for it to happen - inevitably only a matter of time, so predictable😡
