I managed to go to church this morning, the first time for 18 months, so joyous. The service was outside and it drizzled all the way through. I was sheltered under a tree and used my face shield to cover the ignition on my scooter. Nevertheless it was lovely to be there.

Church at last
Just what you needed Carnival. So pleased for you. Good idea to use the face shield to cover the ignition on your scooter.
Take care xxx👍
It's good to hear that you made it and enjoyed the service.
Pleased for you What happened to "The sun shines on the righteous"? 😘😘 xx
That’s great Carnival! I really need to book myself back in for church too! I’ve so missed the worship! I’m really glad it was a good time!
Even as an atheist i get pleasure in knowing that you both managed to attend and also enjoyed your service Carnival and i think your god was pleased to see you there too😊Love Ski's and Scruff's x
That’s so great for you 😊 Me too, I went to the Church today, it’s the first service there since 18 months so i think it felt strange for everyone, like waking from a strange dream or something. It’s all been so surreal.
Good for you we have been having on line prayers on a Wednesday and a service on a Sunday we must wear masks. If unable to you ca n listen and take s part in the service in the lady Chapel. Looking forward to going back
Well done! I am still waiting,. I am not too sure about singing through a mask? But would be happy to join an outside service, I really miss this.
My choir has been singing in a rented school yard one evening a week, carefully social distanced and it has been interesting, but I found difficult to hear our music with the unusual accompanying ‘instruments’ Including passing traffic, the occasional lawnmower and overhead jets! Evidently neighbours in surrounding houses found it very entertaining whilst seated in their gardens withe chilled glass of white
Hopefully back to inside a hall soon .
It was lovely to get back to singing. We had a garden service last week for our three churches. Yesterday, because our church is so big and our congregation is now so small after Covid, we held our service indoors and were all able to sing, seated.
I am so happy that you managed that and I’m sure from your post that the tiredness was worth it. There is such a difference being tired after an enjoyable outing as opposed to the ones that we must do. Take care and let’s hope the sun shines gently next time.

That's heart warming to read, as Skis says, even for a non-believer. So glad you made it and enjoyed it. It's nice to be doing almost normal things again, even if it does wear you out. Hope the weather is better next time. xxx
