Can any one suggest where to get a reliable oxymeter, i asked my surgery ,they said they couldn't recommend any thing, i did have one from amazon that lasted for 3/4years , i have bought 2 recently from amazon which i sent back, paid (£20 each) both were wildly inaccurate, thanks now for any replies.

Hi whit, I like you bought many from Amazon for between £10-20, I’ve lost and broken a couple, in the end I bought this one: smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/produ...

I’ve had for about three years now and it’s very accurate, the only thing I found is the batteries that come supplied with it were dead, so I replaced them with my own batteries, I’ve only had to replace them a couple of times since then, as you can see it is more expensive, but so far it’s been worth the extra spent.

I hope I have been some help.

Ian.

To be honest any one will do. I have two a cheap one brought from China via Amazon for £5.99 and a £30.00 one. Both work equally well and are checked for accuracy with the one used in the hospital. When you buy one a quick check with the one your GP uses is recommended. Both mine are with 1% of the GPs oxymeter.

Try Boots chemist n linè. They do sell a lot more than in shops, My oximeter cost £30 from there. It hasn't been checked against another . Try their web site . You can order by phone if necessary and they deliver tooJust got various thing's discounted by 3 for 2. Very useful site.

I also had two that I ordered from Amazon and they definitely were not detecting O2 percentage properly!! I live in the US and went to a chain pharmacy and purchased their brand and have no problem with it

Got mine from Medisave.co.uk. cost around 20 quid and had no problems. Ordered online paying with a credit card preferably from my opinion for safety and have Ordered other items as well. Hope this helps. Brian
