Hi, I don’t take symbicort but it sounds like it could be a dodgy inhaler. I’d take it back to the pharmacy and explain and hopefully they’ll swap it for you.
Yes. I took back to the chemist. They said you inhale once it clicks, even if it is on the first turn. I wasn't convinced as I read instructions that it has be turned both ways to open it up. So then I was confused lol.
It does a lighter click for one twist one way and a louder click for the second twist. I just use it, you could always speak to your local pharmacist about it or GP and they can see if yours is working okay.
Hi Cotbrook, I've been on Symbicort for a few years now. Helps me a lot compared to others I have been on. The container has 'its own mind' I find. I've been ok on one click or two. Just be careful when it does not click at all. I've had that a few times and my condition worsens. I've come to the conclusion that it has stopped delivering the dosage. I contacted GP and received prescription. Took prescription and dodgy inhaler to chemist. When I got my new inhaler I was fine in 24 hours. Chemist said nothing about dodgy inhaler. Hope this helps.
