Hello Donwimble, welcome to the forum. My husband has COPD but has never tried cbd oil. He used oil as a back rub for hud chronic back pain but it didn’t help.

I hope you get some answers soon. Xxxx

Just saying hi and welcome Donwimble. No experience of CBD oil so can't advise. If you decide to try it it may be as well to check with your doctor or pharmacist to make sure that it is compatible with any prescription medication you have.

I’ve tried different strength of CBD oil and sadly it didn’t help my copd but a friend of mine swears by it for his arthritic knee!

Hi, I currently take 35% cbd oil for copd. I wouldn't say that it helps breathlessness but it certainly helps with associated anxieties, which in turn calms breathlessness. I don't really have a cough so couldn't comment on whether it helps that or not. 😄

If it's for COPD don't waste your money on CBD oil. It is cannabis oil (with THC) which purportedly helps with breathlessness, but it is still illegal in this country unfortunately (it is the same oil which people are fighting to get for proven effectiveness for seizures in their kids).

Hi Donwimble

Welcome to our forum. Like many alternative medicines, there is no reliable research on using CBD oil for health and many reports are anecdotal.

We have experienced respiratory nurses available to us on the Helpline. If you would like a chat with them about managing your COPD, you are very welcome to call us on 03000 030 555.

Take care

Debs

Hello and welcome to the forum. Sorry cannot help with CBD oil as I have not tried it. Others on here may be able to help. All I can say is that if I was thinking of trying it I would talk to my GP as I am on quite a lot of other prescribed medications and I would want to know if it may be a problem mixing in CBD oil. please let us know how you get on. Best wishes and take care xx😊😊
