I am.very scared I thought I had one lump but the doctor found two. This is very scary as they are painless and I had a small lump under my arm pit for ages but because it was painless I did not think anything was wrong i am being referred for lung X-ray and breast X-ray and probably biopsy to I’m so scared I am quoting cigs tomorrow I stopped for 4 years during the lockdown I started again, also I’ve had copd for I reckon 10 to 12 years and now I’m on pregizone and aniibiotics

Love some support and advice someone hopefully to tell me the lumps are nothing to worry about

Whilst I am sure many would like to say "nothing to worry about" but I don't think we are qualified to be able to do that. Be assured that your doctor is being pro-active in getting you checked out just in case. It may be nothing to worry about but better to be safe than sorry and find things early and get treated. I have found that once I knew what was wrong I could stop stressing about the "what if's" and focus on dealing with "what is known". Until you get the results one constructive thing that you can do is definitely get rid of the cigs. Have you tried patches to help with any cravings? I found they helped me when I gave up cigs nearly 5 years ago. Hope that you don't have to wait too long for the biopsy and x-rays, you will then know what you are dealing with if anything. Take care and best wishes, sending you virtual hugs xx🤗🤗🤗🤗

It's understandable that you are worried but the good thing is that your doctor has taken prompt action to get tests underway. Don't beat yourself up about starting smoking again during lockdown. As an ex smoker, stress often made me start again until I finally managed to quit for good so give it a go again now and you will probably succeed this time.

Wishing you well and let us know how you get on.

Sending support your way Cutelady but as Snackjack says we’re not qualified to really comment on your doctors findings. It’s good you’re being referred so let’s hope all goes well for you. Good that you’re quitting smoking too.

Sending hugs to you. Take care xxx💜💖

I had a painless lump in Armpit and was scared too, It turned out it was just a Lipoma, very common apparently in that area , it was surgically removed easily and with no problems or afterpain . Day Surgery , It was like a ping pong ball, nothing to worry about Cutelady60.

In another life I worked a lot with people who gave up smoking. It often was after a few times of trying so don’t give yourself a hard time. That was just another attempt. It will happen. Now if you can concentrate on being as well as possible while you wait for the results it may replace some of the worry time. It’s not easy, I know, but worth a try.

Much love

I had a couple of lumps years ago and one tured out to be just liquid, one was a cyst and both popped when the needle was inserted at biopsy, the other turned out to be a non malignant lump which was removed. Its good that you are being checked and natural to worry. I do have alot of lipomas so dont worry too much now when I find lumps. Keep us updated x

Hi! Don’t worry until things happen. I know it won’t stop it but just think it’s probably just cysts. Keep your fingers crossed and good luck although I’m sure you won’t need it.

Hello, how you doing? Just wanted to say dont panic until you know. I know it's easy for others to say that.. I've had small lumps removed under my arm, in my groin, bowel every time I think oh my gosh here I ho again.. I've even been told I had lymphoma from needle biopsy then wen lump was removed ect they said oh no you dont you seem to have more white cells than the red,, think that's how it goes.. I've had collapsed lung few other things now copd, we are strong .. you are strong just remember that a needle biopsy result isn't always correct if positive. Wait until lump is removed and tested..

All the best ,, try to eat good food lots of greens avocados ect mite help give u a boost.

Please let me know how you get on..
